BUYER SERVICES

Our consultants use the Everest Total Value EquationSM methodology to help buyers understand their potential areas of value in a given non-core process and how to link to other areas of value. The net result of Total Value Equation is

Our consultants use the Everest Total Value AnalysisSM Framework to help decision-makers understand how to choose the best business solution that captures maximum value for the enterprise and what it will take to successfully implement that solution.
We work with buyers in all four phases of outsourcing relationships:

Procurement

  • Designing a Request for Quote
  • Determining the scope and parameters of the process to be outsourced, as well as service level specifications
  • Evaluating potential suppliers
  • Due diligence and contract negotiations

Transition

Structuring a plan to minimize known and unknown risks inherent in the first year of implementing an outsourcing solution, ensuring the relationship gets started on the right foot

Management

  • Structuring a governance agreement
  • Renewal/Exit
  • Renew and/or renegotiate the contractual documents
  • Benchmark and test the market to ensure the agreement is still based on valid pricing and service level specifications
  • Terminate an outsourcing arrangement and bring the process back in-house
  • Terminate an outsourcing arrangement and begin a new Request for Quote and contractual negotiations with a new service provider.

Supplier Solutions Division

Our Supplier Solutions Division provides the following services:

  • Market Leadership. Everest performs market intelligence and benchmarking services and combines these with more than a decade of working with supplier organizations (both as clients and as potential outsourcing partners for Everest's buyer clients). This has enabled us to build an extensive knowledge of the supplier community. Through the Outsourcing Center, our publishing division, we also provide excellent opportunities for sales and marketing leads.

  • Business Strategy. Because of our consulting work with the buyer community and also through contacts from visitors to the Outsourcing Center Web sites, we understand the market and know what buyers are seeking. We help supplier organizations reshape their offerings to increase the value of transactions. We also advise supplier organizations as to whether they should get into or out of particular markets.

  • Reconstruction Services. Everest consultants are experts at reconstructing existing failed initiatives and troubled outsourcing relationships. Our clients for these services include both buyers and service providers. Our methodology and framework is the starting point for reconstructing a solution to create and capture maximum value and benefit for both parties.

Total Value EquationSM is based on the understanding that an organization may have made significant investments in information technology; yet it still can fail to achieve significant return on those investments. The incongruity of this outcome is due to the relative value of an investment to the business. Investments that (a) contribute to the strategic imperatives of the enterprise (helping it to compete) or (b) significantly impact the business (such as decreased PC downtime or decreased frustration by making a process simpler) are more valuable than those that simply add productivity tools, create foundational infrastructure, or reduce direct costs.
